Plain terms for an early-stage service.

What this is: Tinnitus Action is an early-stage coordination platform. It helps people find and complete real actions connected to progress toward treatments that act on tinnitus itself.
Who runs it: Tinnitus Action is an unregistered, founder-led, not-for-profit initiative run by Johan Fredriksson in Malmö, Sweden. It is not a registered company or charity, it has no partnerships it has not named, and it takes no money for itself.
Not medical advice: Nothing here is medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and nothing here should delay you seeking care from a qualified clinician.
How activity is recorded: An action is counted only when someone reports completing it. Matches and drafts are never counted. Action counts are self-reported. They show coordinated activity, not independently verified impact, and an action appearing in the shared record is not by itself proof that research, funding or policy changed.
Actions on other people's sites: Tinnitus Action helps you find and take an action, but the studies, organisations, surveys and funds are run by those parties. They set their own eligibility, availability, terms and privacy practices. We cannot promise acceptance into a study, availability, or any medical or research outcome. Details change, so check them at the destination, and we make no medical decisions for you. Tinnitus Action does not currently process donations or payments; where an action links to an external donation or payment page, that transaction is handled by the third party.
Use it honestly: Do not submit other people's personal data, and do not use the site to contact anyone on behalf of Tinnitus Action.
The record is cumulative: Receipt and completion records are intended to remain indefinitely as part of the public record of action taken, unless you ask for yours to be deleted using your receipt code.
Changes: This early-stage service changes often. Terms may change with it, and the current version is always the one on this page.
